The University of Fredericton is seeking a dynamic Recruitment Specialist to join our team.In this role, you'll play a key part in our hiring process by creating and publishing job ads across various platforms and acting as the vital link between candidates and hiring managers. You'll engage with potential candidates both online and offline, screen applications, and provide valuable support to hiring managers.If you have experience evaluating candidates across different fields and seniority levels, we'd love to connect with you. Your efforts will help ensure we hire top talent while delivering a positive, professional experience for every candidate.ResponsibilitiesCreate and publish job ads in various portalsServing as a go-between for candidates and hiring managersNetwork with potential hires through professional groups on social mediaTrack hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill and source of hireFollow up with candidates throughout the hiring processScreen resumes and job applicationsMaintain a database of potential candidates for future job openingsConduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidatesInterview candidates with managers for a wide range of roles (junior, senior and executive)Issue offer of employment letters and employment contractsParticipate in Job fairs when the opportunities ariseAdvise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methodsQualificationsBachelor's degree with a focus in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or relevant fieldMinimum 3 years' experience as a Recruitment Specialist, Recruiter or similar roleHands-on experience with the largest job sites like Indeed, job bank, Career beacon, and LinkedInKnowledge of sourcing techniques on social mediaStrong interpersonal skillsGood written and verbal communications skillsExcellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidatesIn-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labor laws, and employment equityThe ability to evaluate recruiting software packages and to recommend those which are best suited to the companyOther InformationCompensation PackageIn addition to your base compensation, joining the UFred team means you will be part of a rapidly expanding organization.
