Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Hot. At heights. Confined spaces. Tasks: Assemble prefabricated parts and sections of fibreglass, metal or other materials to form boats. Clean work area. Caulk decks and hulls. Install trims, rudders, seats, engine mounts and other accessories. Repair boats. Inspect assembled boats for defects and conformance to quality standards. Mark defects to be repaired. Load, feed or place materials into machine. Operate machine to fabricate parts and products. Return defective products for repair or recycle. Sand, trim, grind or clean products into final form using hand tools. Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products. Cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and components. Type of materials: Fibreglass. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
