Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: All weather conditions. Work setting: Apartment/condominium complex. Construction site. Tasks: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Safety equipment/gear. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Reliability.
