Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene. Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease. Apply fluoride treatment. Remove stains and deposits from teeth. Administer local anesthetics. Take, develop and mount X-rays. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
