*Overview*
We are seeking to expand our current culinary offering and would like to find an individual(s) with experience and the ability to manage and operate at a high standard of excellence. This position will require you to think outside of the 'conventional' box and push for a unique dinning experience.
*Responsibilities*
- Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure high-quality food presentation and taste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
- Monitor food stock and place orders when needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
*Experience*
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or relevant role in the food industry
- Knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-making techniques. \*Preference would be for individuals with a strong understanding of cooking beyond sushi, but not limited to.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in food preparation
- Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented setting
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 ? 40 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Montréal, QC H2Y 1Z5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
* Chef: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
* English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Food Handler Certification (preferred)
