Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: On-site customer service. Repair. Commercial. Residential. Installation. Tasks: Determine type of glass, frames and material required. Measure, mark and cut glass. Position and secure panes in frame. Install door, window and other hardware. Repair glass doors and other glass structures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of glass/materials: Acrylic plexiglass. Float glass. Mirrors. Sealed units. Frame fabrication and installation: Curtain wall (stock length material). Curtain wall (prefabricated material). Spandrel panel installations. Aluminum framing members. Entranceways. Glass cutting equipment and techniques: Cut glass plate free-hand (curved cuts). Installation specialization: Curtain walls. Aluminum storefronts, barrel vaults, solariums, commercial window systems. Shower doors and tub enclosures. Walls and other interior areas (i.e. partitions). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
