Work from HomeThe successful candidate for this posting may be eligible for participation in a hybrid, work from home arrangement in alignment with the City?s Work from Home Policy. Such arrangements are determined with each employee and subject to change based on operational needs and policy direction. POSITION FUNCTIONAs a student hired under the Co-operative Educational Training Program, you will be given meaningful and challenging assignments while being introduced to a career in municipal government. In this Co-op position you will assist with supernumerary projects and contribute to the overall goals of the work unit. KEY DUTIESUnder the direct guidance and observation of the supervisor, assist with the on-going enhancement of the City?s operations by utilizing existing tools and software platforms. Participate in the development and improvement of future-focused projects that align with the department?s strategic goals and objectives by providing supernumerary field or office support. Conduct and document research, analyze and interpret data, prepare summary of findings, draft reports, procedures and/or practices, and present to supervisor for feedback and/or next steps. Assist with identifying and testing new and/or enhanced tools and processes and collaborate to ensure ?shared learning?. INDEPENDENCEWork is assigned by supervisor and reviewed upon completion.Problems are referred to supervisor.
