Click here to learn more: https://www.centralsaanich.ca/municipal-hall/employment-bids JOB OVERVIEWReporting to Manager, IT, the GIS Technician will provide support across the District Departments and Police Services by performing a variety of technical and analytical functions related to the use of the Geographic Information System.The ideal candidate will possess: Completion of a Geographic Information System post diploma program and three (3) years directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; Knowledge of the Esri suite of programs including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, Field Maps, and ArcGIS Online; Sound knowledge of mapping principles, techniques and materials, simple math, geometry and survey computations; Must be able to obtain and maintain Police security clearance; and Valid Class 5 driver?s license and the use of a personal vehicle for District business are required.?
