*Job Summary*
Z'gamok Construction LP is recruiting for a Custodial Manager to join our team. The Custodial Manager will report to the General Manager of Z'gamok Construction LP, the successful applicant for this position will be responsible for managing the Custodial contracts and personnel, at multiple work locations. The Manager will be responsible for maintaining a place of work, that is safe and free from risk to health and to environment with the objective of ensuring contractual service targets are met.
This position is subject to Z'gamok Construction LP personnel and administrative policies, relevant client policies and procedures and relevant laws and regulations.
*Main Duties and Responsibilities*
* Manage invoicing related to Custodial Services and ensure billing is sent to Accounts Receivable.
* Responsible for ensuring Custodial staff are appropriately scheduled and trained to meet legal and client requirements.
* Identifying when additional staff will be required and work with Human Resources to fill staffing needs.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to Custodial and Supervisory staff.
* Seek potential new business opportunities related to custodial type work and in conjunction with Business Development, participate in the bid process.
* Monitoring and evaluating employee performance; and initiating corrective or disciplinary action when required.
* Develop a solid communication link with on site staff, office staff and clients.
* Manages Custodial supplies and inventory to ensure contractual and legal requirements are met.
* Ensure all Custodian employees are following safety policies, WHMIS safety standards and Workplace Health & Safety policies, practices, and procedures and any other applicable safety related policy for the work assigned.
* Manages, prioritizes and re-assign work as required.
* Keeps informed of and abide by, with Federal, Provincial, and local regulations that may impact service operations. As appropriate, advise operations of the anticipated changes and provide a recommended solution.
*Qualifications*
* Minimum of 3 years of successful work experience in the supervision and scheduling of employees.
* Previous experience at a management level; including successfully managing a team, while meeting contractual obligations.
* Ontario Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalency is preferred.
* Strong to expert understanding of Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook).
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are essential skills.
* Valid Driver?s License
* Proven successful track record of awarded Custodial work, through a "bid process".
