The Network Analyst monitors, manages, supports internal and customer networks with a goal to provide best-in-class network availability to internal & external customers. He/she provides world-class customer service and a sense of urgency when dealing with issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
* Configure and support various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, radios, etc.)
* Perform technical troubleshooting and data gathering to identify issues and drive them to resolution in a timely fashion and/or ensure proper escalation to the next level of support
* Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
* Service Provider Management, Liaise with multiple providers on behalf of our clients to drive incident resolution in an urgent fashion.
* Consistent and timely ticket updates to provide clear communication/documentation of steps taken to drive resolution.
* Establish and maintain documentation, tools and systems for clear consistent delivery of service.
* Take on mini assignments outside of operations in support of Comtech growth
* Advocate for customer and ensure each customer is receiving value for services
* Proactively finding issues and fixing prior to affecting customer
* Reporting using tools provided with a goal towards full automation
* Finding and implementing efficiencies and improvements for the NOC
REQUIREMENTS
* 2 year Technical Diploma in related field or University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
* CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is required
* Min 5 years Past experience working in a NOC environment highly desired.
* Solid understanding of internet protocol, internet services, Data services, WiFi, voice PRI/SIP services including routing, switching, TCP/IP, MPLS, DWDM, SONET, BGP, and Ethernet
* Proven experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
* Ability to adapt and grow with new technologies
* Exceptional problem solving, organizational and time management skills with an attention to detail
* Ability to work independently
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* The ability to handle challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
* Team player that combines attributes of interpersonally appropriate and aware, self-motivated and diligent, and defines success collectively rather than individually.
* Ability to work shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, statutory holidays, and on-call
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
