Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Human Resources Manager works closely with employees and senior management and is responsible for all aspects of the employment lifecycle of 85+ employees from workforce planning, talent recruitment and management, compensation, as well as being responsible for payroll processing (ADP), occupational health and safety, benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with Federal and Provincial legislation. The incumbent will also be responsible for policy review and implementation, and internal and external reporting.
*This position is an on-site role and not eligible for hybrid or remote work.*

*Responsibilities include:*
* Support the hiring process in all departments, including creating job postings, resume selection, conduct interviews, and reference and background checks
* Process bi-weekly payroll via ADP
* Manage all facets of occupational health and safety and the organization?s safety policy
* Assess and manage hazards and risks in the workplace
* Provide coaching and support to managers with respect to leadership and people management strategies, including performance and attendance management and discipline as required
* Provide conflict resolution - including handling complaints and settling disputes
* Monitor employee attendance and work with employees and managers on attendance improvement goals
* Manage onboarding and offboarding of all employees
* Evaluate and create position descriptions
* Administer employee benefit plan
* Create and maintain company policies and procedures
* Complete reporting and act as liaison to external agencies including AB Workers? Compensation (WCB), Service Canada and benefit provider
* Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment legislation
* Provide support and oversight to OH&S committees
*Qualifications:*
* Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent experience
* 1-3 years successful experience working in a Human Resources generalist or management role
* Experience with payroll processing (preferably ADP) and benefits administration is an asset
* Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Alberta Workers? Compensation Act required
* Dedication to a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
* Exemplary leadership and communication skills
* Proficiency in Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)
