Midway is built on the people of the past and present looking towards the people of the future.TITLE: Deputy Corporate (One-year Term position)POSITION DETAILS: Full-time SALARY RANGE: $60,000-$65,000 (based on job experience and qualifications)HOURS OF WORK: 35 hours per weekThe Village of Midway is seeking to fill a Deputy Corporate position, Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, duties include assisting with the development, implementation, coordination and monitoring of corporate administration functions and programs, assisting with research and development relating to new Housing legislation requirements and any special housing projects, co-ordination and research on Planning and Development related queries relating to re-zoning, sub-division, development variances etc. Other duties include providing administrative and clerical support, including handling sensitive political issues, researching and compiling information, reviewing of bylaws, policies and contract administration, overseeing records management processes and procedures, responding to and/or redirecting inquiries/communications and completing special projects for Chief Administrative Officer. The successful applicant will be required to work within the provisions under the Community Charter, Local Government Act and Village's policies and bylaws. This position requires the ability to communicate with the public, staff and present information as needed to elected officials.The Village office is a small busy office, and you will be required to assist the public with general inquiries in the office and on the telephone.
