Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Analyze hair and scalp condition. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Supervise other hair stylists and other staff. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Clean and style wigs and hair pieces. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Iron waving/curling. Permanents. Extensions. Roller setting. Hair colouring techniques: Bleach. Dyes/tints. Streaking/highlights. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Team player.
