*Job Summary:*
We are seeking an organized, leadership-oriented individual to join our team as a *Service Manager*. This role is critical to our operations, overseeing the movement of vehicles in and out of our service shop, managing a team of skilled mechanics, and ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with a strong ability to handle high-pressure situations and support our commitment to excellence.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring that vehicles are processed efficiently and effectively.
* Manage and lead a team of mechanics, providing direction, support, and performance feedback.
* Ordering parts from our current suppliers, comparing pricing in a timely manner.
* Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
* Handle administrative tasks including filing paperwork, invoicing customers, and managing internal documentation.
* Utilize the Mitchell program for service management and documentation.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain a clean and organized service area, adhering to safety and operational standards.
* Provide support and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
*Qualifications:*
* Previous experience in a management role within the automotive industry is preferred.
* Steel Toe Boots
* Ability to lift up to 50lb (parts, etc.)
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficient in using service management software, specifically Mitchell, is an asset.
* Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure and professionalism.
* Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
