Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Services for the homeless. Work setting: Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Supervise support staff. Administrative and office activities. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Mental health first aid Certificate. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Target audience: Aboriginal groups. Culturally diverse groups. Elderly. Families. Females. Males. Persons with mental health disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities. Street population. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Security and safety: Bondable. Criminal record check.
