Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Odours. Dusty. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces. Perform direct glue-down carpet installations. Install outdoor carpets. Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Ability to distinguish between colours. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement. Organized. Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.- LocationBrampton, ON
