Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Remote location. Various locations. Tasks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed. Tractor-trailer. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Long-haul. National. Provincial/territorial. Regional. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel for extended periods. Willing to travel overnight.
