Tasks: Recommend measures to improve productivity . Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Estimate costs and materials. Oversee apprenticeship training. Prepare production and other reports. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Establish methods to meet work schedules. Read blueprints and drawings. Recommend personnel actions. Requisition materials and supplies. Supervise workers and projects. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units. Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing. Supervision: 11-15 people. Apprentices. Labourers. Bricklayers. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Landscaping experience: Restoration and preservation projects. Type of industry experience: Construction. Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction. Cleaning experience: Brick and stone building exteriors. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Work under pressure. Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability.
