We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor with a strong background in concrete work to oversee projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of concrete pouring in both commercial and residential settings, with a particular focus on formwork, rough carpentry, and crew management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee concrete construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Crew Supervision: Lead, manage, and motivate a team of workers during concrete pouring and finishing operations. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training as needed.
- Formwork and Carpentry: Plan and execute formwork strategies, ensuring safe and effective construction practices. Collaborate with rough carpenters to ensure precise measurements and alignments. - \*\*Quality Control:\*\* Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address issues promptly. - \*\*Safety Compliance:\*\* Promote a culture of safety on-site by enforcing compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. Conduct safety meetings and ensure all crew members are equipped with necessary safety gear. - \*\*Communication:\*\* Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and any challenges encountered.
-Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential challenges in the construction process and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs, time sheets, and material usage. Prepare reports for management as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete construction supervision, with a strong focus on formwork and rough carpentry and concrete finsihing.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of concrete pouring processes, techniques, and materials. Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of addressing challenges in the construction process.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, first aid) are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment (up to [weight]) and perform physical tasks on-site.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and at different heights.
