Located at the University of Saskatchewan, the mission of the University Club is to provide a high-quality food and beverage service to our members and the university community in a first-class facility and to provide a congenial environment for university-wide interaction. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the restaurant or food service industry with exceptional leadership skills.

- Lead and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality service.
- Oversee relationships with members and the Club?s board of directors.
- Oversee service and take part in and presentation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
- Manage staff and manage relations with corporate partners and caterers, as required, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries of beverage orders and supplies.
- Effectively handle customer inquiries and complaints.
- Create innovative menus that meet customer preferences.
- Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting processes to achieve business goals.
- Such further duties as appropriate in consultation with the Board of Directors.
- Knowledge of food and beverage safety regulations and best practices in the service industry.
- Experience in bartending or managing bar operations is a plus.
- Proven ability in team management, fostering a positive work environment.
- Proficiency in kitchen operations including cooking techniques and food preparation methods is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
