Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assess patients' physical abilities
  • Assist health care professionals
  • Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities
  • Follow through on treatment programs with patients
  • Clean and maintain equipment
  • Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations
  • Maintain clinical and progress reports
  • Document patient rehabilitation progress
  • Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas
  • Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients
