*Job Overview* As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians in providing medical care to animals. Your responsibilities will include handling and caring for animals, performing laboratory tests, and educating pet owners on proper animal care. *Responsibilities* - Assist veterinarians in examining animals and providing medical treatments - Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work and urinalysis - Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian - Prepare animals and equipment for surgery - Monitor animals' recovery from surgery and anesthesia - Educate pet owners on animal care, medication administration, and treatment plans - Maintain accurate medical records *Skills* - Strong knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures - Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately - Proficiency in performing laboratory tests - Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively Job Type: Full-time Pay: $23.00-$29.00 per hour Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Flexible schedule * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Store discount * Vision care Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationEtobicoke, ON
