Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Dental practice. Independently owned business. Tasks: Prepare patients for dental examinations. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Perform reception and clerical duties. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Schedule and confirm appointments. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Take and develop X-rays. Record dental procedures performed on patients. Invoice patients for dental services. Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations. Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Health benefits: Dental plan. Other benefits: Free parking available.
