Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Prepare project schedules. Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections, technical investigations and testing of construction materials. Prepare recommendations and reports for the construction or improvement of civil engineering projects. Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments. Computer and technology knowledge: AutoCAD. MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS PowerPoint. MS Word. MS Windows. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. What is the highest level of study you have completed?. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
