Our office is a small family practice, we are looking to add a Dental Hygienist part time with room to grow. Starting out would be one evening a week (flexible on what evening , can work with another schedule at your current office), and 1 to 2 saturdays a month. We are a very relaxed friendly office. Hygienist are give an hour per adult and 40 min per child, however as you book them back you have full control to book longer or less depending on what you deem necessary. Giving the office and any applicant an opportunity to ensure it is a good fit for everyone :) *Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during every visit. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and hygiene practices while assisting the dentist in various procedures. *Responsibilities* * Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. * Assess patient oral health and provide recommendations for treatment plans. * Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools and support. * Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software. * Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. * Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and office efficiency. *Experience* * Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply. * Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. * Familiarity with orthodontics is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist in specialized treatments. * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this will help us serve our diverse patient base better. * Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in a dental office setting is beneficial. * Previous experience in dental assisting is an advantage but not required.
