*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various types of heavy equipment, including cranes and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety on the job site. *Duties* * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and cranes. * Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete repairs efficiently. * Diagnose mechanical issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques. * Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate. * Weld components as necessary to repair or fabricate parts for machinery. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. * Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities. * Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing and diagnostic purposes. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role. * Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and repair. * Familiarity with dealership practices is a plus. * Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy components. * Valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
