The LDSB is the region's only fully inclusive school board. Limestone schools serve more than 20,500 students in 55 schools and five alternative education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee. <p>Position Overview <p>Have you ever considered leading in Limestone? This includes gathering voice from all members of the Limestone community (students, families, and staff), and in particular marginalized students and their families. <p>If you are a highly motivated, intentional, and culturally responsive, instructional leader who is committed to this work and who is inspired and energized by the ability to reshape and realign teaching and learning, equipping each student with the essential skills they need to shape their future, we invite you to explore leading in Limestone. <p>Qualifications & Experience Must possess or be able to complete Principal Qualifications Program, Part I, within one year of assuming the VicePrincipalship and Principal Qualifications Program, Part II, within one year of assuming Principalship <p> Minimum of five years' experience as a classroom teacher <p> Engages in visionary and/or collaborative leadership & communication <p> Fosters and models equitable and inclusive practices/leadership <p> Builds and fosters positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including students, staff, families, trustees, and community partners<p> Demonstrates instructional leadership <p> Demonstrates experience leading learning communities and developing capacity at all levels <p> Engages in reflective leadership <p> Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and resilience <p> As an ambassador for Limestone District School Board, promotes and champions the Board's vision, values, goals, and achievements <p> Understands and/or manages school operations and resources How to Apply <p>If this leadership opportunity aligns with your vision and values, and you can see yourself leading in Limestone, please submit your package through Apply to Education, by 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, using the Resume Template.
