<span>We are seeking a </span><span>Packaging & Food Technologist</span><span><span> to join one of our clients in the food industry in Montreal!<br><br><strong>Responsibilities: </strong><br></span></span><ul><li>Oversee renovation projects for current products and cost reduction initiatives based on established schedules and parameters;</li><li>Coordinate and organize production tests for new or developing products by collaborating with stakeholders from various departments. Follow the established timelines;</li><li>Support the product developer in creating new recipes;</li><li>Oversee and streamline the transfer of new products into production;</li><li>Compile the necessary documentation for production tests, initial production runs, and the shipment of samples to clients;</li><li>Engage actively in projects related to the implementation of new equipment or the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes;</li><li>Collaborate closely with the lead of new product development (Senior Product Developer);</li><li>Serve as a technical expert by responding to questions from internal departments;</li><li>Foster strong interactions between internal teams in R&D, Sales, Operations, and Quality to ensure smooth project progress;</li><li>Organize regular tastings of competitor products available in the retail and restaurant markets and generate analysis reports on competitive products;</li><li>Contribute to any other special projects or related tasks as needed.</li></ul><span><span><br><strong>Profile: </strong><br></span></span><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology (FST) or Food Engineering and/or equivalent work experience;</li><li>3-to 8 years of relevant experience in the food industry in research and development or other relevant experience;</li><li>Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint software;</li><li>Leadership and strong communication skills;</li><li>Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and structure a large amount of information;</li><li>Autonomy, initiative, and resourcefulness;</li><li>Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>
