*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled structural Welder with the ability to install what has been built. The ideal candidate will possess a strong willingness to learn, has a mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints accurately. This position involves fabricating, assembling metal components using various welding techniques and tools along with traveling to customer sites to install them from time to time. Our structural welder fitter and crane builder performs a variety of duties including fitting and welding of box girder cranes, fitting and welding of beam cranes, fabrication of crane related products and mechanical assembly of crane products. The Welder will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
*Duties*
* Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to blueprints and specifications.
* Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines, to join metal parts effectively.
* Use power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills for preparation and finishing of welded components.
* Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials safely within the work area.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Fill out paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to fabrication processes.
* Work independently as well as within a team environment.
* Maintain working knowledge of changes in technology, equipment and industry standards in the welding field.
* Travel to customer sites and be able to work away from home for a week at a time.
* Must be able to work comfortably at heights
* Must be able to lift 50lbs
* Familiar and work with hazards with the trade
* Other work as assigned
*Experience*
* 3-5 years proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
* Familiarity with welding techniques, tools, and equipment is essential.
* Working in a manufacturing shop is preferred
* Ability to rig materials safely for lifting operations
* Previous experience operating forklifts or cranes is advantageous but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 35 ? 45 per week
