Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Tender and administer contracts. Read blueprints and drawings. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Establish work schedules and procedures. Supervision: 5-10 people. Area of specialization: Lawn care. Tree service. Landscape construction. Garden centre. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail.
