*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients by helping them select and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible vision care while also contributing to the overall success of our retail operations. *Duties* * Assist customers in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences. * Perform fittings and adjustments on eyewear to ensure proper comfort and functionality. * Maintain knowledge of optical products, including lenses, frames, and contact lenses. * Utilize Epic software for managing patient records and appointments efficiently. * Collaborate with laboratory technicians to ensure accurate lens fabrication. * Handle sales transactions and provide excellent customer service throughout the purchasing process. * Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance. * Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology. *Requirements* * Previous experience in an optical setting or retail sales environment is preferred. * Familiarity with medical terminology related to vision care is a plus. * Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service. * Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills. * Experience with retail management is advantageous but not mandatory. * Knowledge of laboratory processes related to eyewear production is beneficial. * A passion for helping others achieve better vision and an eye for detail are essential traits for success in this role.
