*Boundary Electric is seeking an experienced and dedicated Production Manager to join our team!!*
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production for Boundary Electric, ensuring that all processes and activities are running smoothly and efficiently. This role will involve maintaining a shop floor presence, with a strong focus on Safety & Quality alignment with the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Program. This position will also manage various administrative tasks to support the overall efficiency of operations. The Production Manager will play a key role in driving the company's growth and success by optimizing resources, enhancing productivity, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Oversee daily operations and manage Boundary Electrics Production departments.
· Attend and contribute effectively to various meetings, including operations, scheduling, staffing, production, safety, project, and management meetings.
· Communicate scheduling requirements to all affected departments to meet production schedules.
· Coordinate testing for various quality certifications.
· Maintain inventory control and submit capital expenditure requests for executive approval.
· Coach, develop, and train the team to ensure continuous improvement.
· Ensure compliance with quality certifications and maintain the digital integrity of records management.
· Propose new and improved procedures for approval through appropriate channels.
· Champion the safety culture throughout the organization, with a particular focus on Production.
· Actively participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee and conduct regular inspections to implement corrective actions.
· Prepare, maintain, and update various reports and documents using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Monday.
· Regularly create and manage detailed operational reports, including performance metrics and KPIs, using Excel spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
· Draft and review internal communications, policies, and procedures.
· Manage the Production team?s schedules and coordinate meetings and appointments.
· Oversee project timelines and ensure milestones are being met by using tools such as Microsoft Project or Excel for tracking.
· Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial summaries using Excel.
· Organize and maintain departmental calendars using Outlook, ensuring alignment with company goals.
· Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications:*
· Minimum 5 years in a similar senior leadership role in a private enterprise setting.
· Previous experience in an ISO certified environment.
· Elevated Safety and Quality standards.
· Proven business acumen and post-secondary education in Business, Leadership or a similar field.
· Lean manufacturing course work.
· Ability to lead by example and inspire proactively with a track record of executing on deliverables.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and elevated levels of stress.
· Exceptional communication and team-building skills.
· Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping.
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
· Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
· FSR A or B is an asset.
