*POSITION: * Accounting Manager *LOCATION: * Jacobson & Greiner Ltd. Brandon, MB *START: * Immediately *Compensation:* Competitive, market leading, to be negotiated based on experience and education. *HOURS of WORK:* Full-Time, flexible to mutually agreed upon hours, as required at peak times i.e. month-end, fiscal year-end etc. *Position Description: * Jacobson & Greiner Group is currently hiring for the full-time position of Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assigned accounting functions as follows: * Prepare monthly financial statements * Reconcile financial information between external software and accounting software * Prepare year end package for the external accountant * Follow up on payment status with credit customers * Manage cash flow cycle for the business * Prepare & file government remittances * Reconciliation of various balance sheet and income statement accounts * Prepare internal management reports as required to assist with business decision making * Collaborates with other accounting staff to support and enable department to meet overall goals and objectives *Education & Experience:* * Diploma or Degree in Accounting and/or Business Administration * Minimum 3-5 years experience in an accounting role with direct experience in preparing monthly financial statements * CPA Designation or current pursuit of a CPA designation is considered an asset, but not required * Experience with foreign exchange transactions an asset * Ability to work independently * Ability to manage workflow to hit deadlines * Exceptional time management skills, working in a fast-paced environment * Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues to senior management * Detail oriented * Experience with Sage 300 & advanced excel functions is considered an asset *Compensation and benefits:* * Comprehensive Group Benefits Program * Competitive salary * Educational assistance * Opportunities for advancement If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit your resume and cover letter via Indeed for collection. _We thank all who apply and advise that only those selected for further consideration will be contacted.
