I am engaged. <p>Our vision is to engage, inspire, innovate, because we are always learning. <p>We are accepting applications for Emergency Supply Secondary Teachers at AMDSB Secondary Schools.<p>Start Date: Immediate<p>Work Schedule: 10 Months/Year (September-June) as required. <p>Rate of Pay: $287.49 daily rate.Benefits of working as an Secondary Occasional Teacher with the Avon Maitland District School Board. <p> Obtain AMDSB classroom teaching experience with students in grades 9 through 12, while awaiting OCT certification; <p> Flexible work, choose to work when it fits with your schedule; <p> Opportunity to work in a Board where collaboration, inclusion, and innovation are fostered; <p> Variety of work, our Secondary Occasional Teachers have the opportunity to work at a variety of schools across Perth and Counties.<p>Position Summary:<p>The AMDSB is currently seeking Secondary (Grades 9-12) Emergency Teacher Candidates to fill in for the daily absences of classroom teachers. Emergency Teacher Candidates are notified on the day of the vacancy.<p>Requirements:<p>Prior to starting employment as an Emergency Supply Teacher Candidate with the AMDSB applicants will be: <p> Teacher Candidates in Year 1-4 of a Concurrent Education Program and/or teachers in receipt of TPP pension <p> As we are an English board, oral and written English proficiency is required; <p> Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (dated within six months); <p> Emergency Teachers must be available for half or single day occasional teacher coverage on last minute notice; <p> Proven ability to maintain discipline in the classroom (classroom management); <p> Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment; <p> Experience working with G-Suite (Gmail, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) products.<p>Join our team!
