*Job Duties:* Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data Create building information models (BIM), using computer software, to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of buildings and other engineering projects Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations Develop and prepare design sketches Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data Write technical reports Prepare contracts and tender documents Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates Supervise and train other technologists, technicians and drafters. *Job Tasks:* Prepare engineering designs and drawings Read blueprints to determine work requirements Supervise other drafting personnel Train new drafting personnel Develop and prepare design sketches Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates Prepare contracts and tenders Write technical reports Write specifications Estimate costs and materials Complete documentation packages and drawing sets Examine drawings for conformity and errors Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements Leading/instructing groups Job Type: Full-time Pay: Up to $29.80 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Education: * Secondary School (required) Experience: * Engineering designs and drawings: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person- LocationOakville, ON
