*We are looking for a licensed 309A Electricians: Construction and Maintenance to join our team of electrical service professionals. We are in an industrial setting where we do our own install, commissioning and service as well as production troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. If you want to work in a fast paced, challenging environment then this is your place.* *Applicants must be registered with the Ontario College of Trades. The ideal candidate(s) must have and willingness to learn and be challenged.* Your choice of shifts including Days, Evenings, Nights and Weekends Only. (Weekends Only includes a 25% shift premium;30 hours work (6,12,12) but paid 40 hours pay) Reports to our Electrical Supervisor. *Responsibilities:* Comply with safety rules and procedures; report any injury or illness immediately, report unsafe acts and conditions. Wire up new equipment and rewire old installations. Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems, substations, bus ducts, rectifiers, PLC's, electrical control circuits, hoist controls and controllers. Follow and use Ontario Hydro Code, keep up to date on regulations. Communicate any problems, materials required, safety or quality concerns to Foreperson in timely manner. Adhere to documented work procedures set out for the activities being performed. Perform 6S (housekeeping) as directed by Supervisor. Wear PPE/Arc Flash clothing. Communicate all problems to Electrical Supervisor. Follow through with instructions from Electrical Supervisor and perform other duties as assigned. Complete required paper work (e.g. timecards, work orders, etc.) Act as a resource to department staff. Work effectively with plant personnel towards development and execution of electrical and process improvements. *Skills and Qualifications:* Must be a Licensed 309A or 309D Electrician Full understanding of AC/DC low and high voltage Knowledge of high voltage (13,800) Ability to program PLC's preferred Licensed Golf Cart and Scissor Lift Operator an asset (Willing to train) Knowledge of co-generation systems an asset Some hand tool flexibility required Must be able to work independently and as a team Organizational skills Writing and communication skills High technical skills Have strong analytical and problem solving skills *Physical Demands:* Varies from high to low levels of effort Able to perform tasks set out in PDA and JHA Flexibility, ability to work overtime when needed *Kuntz Electroplating Inc.
