Naturally this expanded to include tackling the mystifying real estate industry, where we see an opportunity to build infill homes in urban areas just outside Victoria?s downtown which are in line with our creative and social values. We believe that every neighbourhood should have diverse housing types and tenures for all incomes and demographics. A densified, compact, walkable lifestyle is critical to solving our climate and housing crisis; all while creating more livable and healthier communities. While we bring a number of innovative infill development projects to market, Aryze?s roots are in quality and unique construction. Because if this resonates with you, we?d love to hear about it in your cover letter.* Aryze is growing our team and has an opening for a construction safety officer with a strong background in multi-family construction. Candidates should possess safety officer training (CSO designation), OFA3 and have a minimum of 2 years of multi-family construction experience with good knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, policies, guidelines and standards. Description *Overview* The construction safety officer is responsible for all safety processes and procedures on designated construction sites. Reporting to the director of construction and safety manager, the safety officer enforces company safety policy and work procedures. This position works with the site supervisors, construction manager and project manager (when applicable) to complete accident investigations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and third parties. *Responsibilities* * Prepare site safety plans, site maps and safety information gathered from subcontractors and site work boards for general public notices and information * Ensure relevant emergency first aid equipment is located on job site * Ensure weekly crew talks are executed and logged * Promote a culture of safety within the organization and job site * Support the enforcement of safety processes, practices and safety management plans * Coordinate with WorkSafeBC regarding site-specific injury management * Carry out safety corrective action plans as a result of- LocationVictoria, BC
