*Overview* We are seeking a skilled licensed Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines in various vehicles and equipment. *Duties* * Perform routine maintenance on diesel and petrol engines * Diagnose and repair engine issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment * Utilize power tools and hand tools to disassemble, repair, and assemble engine parts * Weld and fabricate components as needed * Provide exceptional customer service when dealing with clients * Follow dealership protocols for repairs and maintenance * Inspect and test vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards * Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed * Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies * Train and mentor junior mechanics and apprentices * Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies * Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction * Perform electrical system diagnostics and repairs, including wiring diagrams * Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles * Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules * Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide roadside assistance as needed *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role * Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines * Ability to read and interpret schematics * Proficient in using power tools and hand tools * Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus * Excellent customer service skills * Valid driver?s license and clean driving record * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Experience with electrical systems and wiring diagrams Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * automotive technician: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Driver's License (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationScarborough, ON
