*Overview* Hello potential all-star groomer at Fetching Forever! Thanks for checking us out :) We're a newly opened business in the Cambie Village. This business is an omni-environment with Dog Daycare, Retail Treatery, adding in our groom room this November. Your role as Pet Groomer will likely be very doodle-specific, as we are building out a large doodle client base (I know)! If you are hired, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients as we aim to be a go-to for top notch cuts in Van-City. Your expertise in grooming doodles and your love for all dogs of all shapes and sizes will help create a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. We will not be cage-drying, you will be one-on-one with your dog, although our Daycare staff can support with bathing or drying as well as nail trims, work permitting. *Duties* * Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, AG expressing and ear cleaning for various breeds of dogs and cats. * Assess the condition of each pet?s coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques, length of groom and more. * Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners . This includes trying our best to hit the mark on preferred grooming styles and looks * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. * Handle pets safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. * Assist with heavy lifting of larger pets as needed during grooming sessions. * Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to enhance skills and provide the best care for pets. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Pet Groomer for over 1 year. Portfolio of dog cuts or IG for reference required. * Ability to handle heavy lifting with larger breeds. * Knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming styles, and products. * Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. * A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care is essential. * Excitement to help build a new business * Be solutions based with a positive attitude, if you don't pride yourself a lifelong learner and you don't want to grow with a new team please do not apply.
