*Overview* We are Cutting Bros. Inc. are looking for a talented Architectural Technologist to join our growing team, to showcase your design skills and develop new knowledge. Cutting Bros. Inc. is an established timber frame, framing and decorative woodworking company that offers our clients the opportunity to form their dreams into reality. We design a wide range of timber structures, interior and exterior doors, stairs and custom projects. *Who we are looking for* We are looking for a talented, focused and dynamic architectural technologist. This person will have the ability to think outside the box, with strong drafting skills and have a good understanding of structural wood construction. They will be a team player, with an excellent attitude and disposition, recognizing the importance of a positive and supportive work environment. *Major Responsibilities* The successful candidate will be involved with, but not limited to, the following: - prepare drawings of plans, elevations, cross sections and details of timber structures, interiors and exterior woodworking projects - work collaboratively in a team environment and work with minimal supervision -Actively promote and contribute to the successful completion of projects from initial concept, through the planning process to implementation - anticipate/manage multiple and changing priorities, be flexible and able to shift priorities as needed to with day to day changes *Minimum Requirements for Employment:* - completion of a diploma in architectural technology with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience doing design and residential projects - demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered - proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office *Preferred Qualifications* - excellent interpersonal skills are essential - strong client communication, teamwork, collaboration, and problem solving skills required - experience or knowledge of implantation of Ontario Building Code - excellent written and verbal communication skills - experience with CADWORK (2 years required) If you have a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply.
