*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. Highland Feeders Ltd. is located 20 minutes North of Vegreville , Alberta. Operations include a 12000 acre grain farm. 3500hd cow heard and feedlot of 35000hd capacity. The Ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and experience welding both aluminum and steel materials. *Duties* * Maintain, repair, and build livestock gates and corrals using mobile welding truck. * Maintain and repair aluminum livestock trailers * Perform welding tasks using MIG, or stick welding techniques. Tig experience would be an asset but not required. * Perform weld repairs on construction and farm equipment * Fabricate and build metal components as per project requirements. * Operate power tools, Oxy acetylene torch and other machinery necessary for fabrication tasks. * Utilize tractors or skid steer for the safe movement of materials within the work area. * Work in cold temperatures during the winter and perform physical work. * Maintain a clean and organized work truck while adhering to safety protocols at all times. *Requirements* * Journeyman ticket not required but would be an asset * At least 2 years welding experience with both aluminum and steel * Proficiency in operating power tools, tractors, and forklifts safely. * Ability to work in cold weather * Able to perform physical work * Able to work alone and as a team. * Experience operating farm machinery or construction equipment would be an asset. * Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Wage will be negotiated based on experience.
