*STRUCTURAL STEEL DETAILER/DRAFTER* *Location:* Etobicoke, Ontario *Company:* Imar Steel Ltd.: fabricators and erectors of structural and miscellaneous steel has been building strength in the housing community in Toronto since 1982. Primarily working on new and existing home renovation projects in the GTA. We work closely with contractors, engineers, architects and designers to manage and produce steel project requirements. With over 40 years? experience, we?ve built relations with our clients based on our knowledge base of structural steel and problem-solving capabilities. *Your Responsibilities:* Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings for steel requirements. Consult with client, contractors, engineers to determine/verify steel fabrication details including connections, holes, measurements etc. Produce material take-off?s to include a comprehensive list of materials and quantities. Develop detailed fabrication shop drawings using AutoCAD, Tekla and/or manual drafting. Ensure accuracy in drawings, connection details, and design modifications. Coordinate material fabrication with the shop team including the Steel Fabricator/Fitter, Welders and Labourers. *Your Profile:* Experience reading blueprints and identifying steel requirements. Experience drafting shop/fabrication drawings: manual and AutoCAD. Possess a keen attention to detail. Understand Imperial measurements. Strong communication skills, both written and spoken. Knowledge/use of Desktop Applications: Word, Excel, Email, AutoCAD Fluent in English, both written and spoken. *Asset:* Experience in reviewing and modifying existing structures on-site and accurately verifying field conditions and dimensions. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to steel fabrication and installation on-site, providing practical solutions and modifications as necessary.
