Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Wet/damp. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Conduct liquid penetrant inspection. Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection. Interpret conductivity meters and visual indicators. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Set up and operate radiographic equipment. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Instruct and supervise trainees. Maintain test result reports. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Radiographic. Liquid penetrant. Magnetic particle. Visual inspection. Nondestructive testing. Ultrasonic. Area of work experience: Construction. Metal processing. Petrochemicals. Shipbuilding. Specialization or experience: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
