Wilkesview Farms is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Dairy Herdsperson to join our team. We strive to provide our herd with the highest standards of husbandry and to provide high quality milk to the consumer. Our farm utilizes 3 Lely A5 milking robots for our 170 cow herd located near Kincardine, Ontario. Duties will include: \* Monitoring herd health, stall cleaning and bedding \* cleaning and maintaining barns \* monitoring breeding program and perform artificial insemination(AI) \* assist with calvings and follow protocols for raising calves \* monitor and maintain our Lely Robots \* maintain production and livestock records \* record events in Dairy Comp 305 and maintain ProAction records \* general farm duties Requirements: \* completion of high school \* 2 years experience as a Dairy Herdsperson \* must have own transportation \* able to work independently \* share in a scheduled rotation of weekends and statutory holidays Assets: \* Artificial Insemination course(AI) \* experience with Dairy Comp 305 \* mechanical ability for small repairs and maintenance Compensation will be adjusted according to experience and a benefit program is available at completion of probationary period. This is a full-time position and offers a flexible work schedule. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year Additional pay: * Bonus pay Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-01- LocationRipley, ON
