*Location:* Toronto, Canada *Start Date:* November 1st, 2024 *Duration:* Minimum 6 months (full-time) *Role Description:* * Hardware Setup Install servers, network equipment, and other IT gear as needed. * Cabling: Run cables and ensure proper connections. * Software Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software issues on servers and equipment. * Coordination & Communication: Work closely with our team, the customer, and stakeholders. * Travel: Regular travel between two data centers (approx. 60 miles apart), with travel time considered work time. *Requirements:* * - Experience in data center operations * - Strong problem-solving skills * - Excellent communication skills * - Flexibility to work occasional weekends, OOBH, or public holidays * - Valid driver's license and reliable car for travel between sites * Additional Information: * - Our customer has recently migrated their cloud operations from Boston to Toronto. We are stepping in to provide on-site support at the data centers. * - Besides the Lead Engineer, two backup engineers will be available when needed. * - The Lead Engineer will be the primary contact for daily support, ensuring smooth operations. *Qualifications* * Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Oracle * Experience with data warehouse technologies * Familiarity with AWS, Agile, and Java * Knowledge of Big Data tools such as Hadoop and Spark * Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a data center environment * Valid driving license for occasional travel requirements Job Type: Full-time Pay: $5,500.00 per month Experience: * Cabling: 4 years (required) * Data Center: 4 years (required) Location: * Toronto, ON (required)- LocationToronto, ON
