Vancouver Island trucking company looking for a versatile driver; who is professional, friendly, punctual, and reliable. We are looking for someone with availability for full-time hours. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible as we offer a variety of trucking services. *Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Required :* * Valid Class 1 driver?s license with a clean commercial driver?s abstract * Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull, and carry heavy items (up to 90 lbs) * Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency * Professional driving experience * Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature, and road conditions *Responsibilities Include :* * Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships * Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban, and rural routes * Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, count sheets, and incident reporting * Performing product delivery verification with accompanying paperwork * Following health and safety, and safe work procedures Please send your resume and driver's abstract. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 ? 45 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 8 hour shift Licence/Certification: * Class 1 Licence (required) Work Location: In person- LocationNanaimo, BC
