*Overview*
Quantum Technology is a global leader in specialized industrial gas applications, particularly Helium and Hydrogen. For 40+ years we have been manufacturing premium Helium and Hydrogen liquefaction units, recovery systems and He production plants. We produce standard and custom solutions for any gas recovery, separation, purification and liquefaction.
*Job Duties*
- Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee the design and development of helium and hydrogen systems, including liquefaction units, recovery systems, and storage solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing, and procurement teams to align on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Review and approve design specifications, drawings, and technical reports for compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage external vendors, contractors, and partnerships for outsourced engineering work.
- Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise during client meetings and project proposals.
- Monitor departmental budgets, allocate resources, and manage staffing needs.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements for hydrogen and helium systems.
*Education*
- Bachelor?s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master?s degree preferred).
- P.Eng designation is preferred.
*Experience & Skills Required*
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of cryogenic systems, gas processing, or industrial gas technologies (hydrogen and helium experience is a plus).
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects from concept to production.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance in hydrogen and helium technologies.
- Proficiency in engineering design and simulation software (e.g., CAD, Solidworks) and project management tools.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
