Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Work setting: Urban area. Various locations. Tasks: Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys. Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries of properties. Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities. Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development. Field skills experience: Operate survey equipment. Operate total station to obtain information about property boundaries. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Survey specialization: Condominiums. Construction. Land development. Subdivisions. Topographic. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Team player.
