Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Dusty. Hot. Work setting: Industrial plant. Tasks: Instruct apprentices. Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Operate and control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hoisting Licence. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Type of cranes: Overhead crane. Equipment and machinery experience: Galvanizing equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Sound discrimination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility.
