*Job description* Location: Langley, British Columbia, Canada Job Code (Please Reference): *L16002* Status: Part-time, Permanent Reporting to: Production Supervisor *Job Summary* We are looking for a motivated and experienced Manual Machinist (semi-retired can apply) to assist with custom machining tasks to join our Flextech team in Langley, BC. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating manual lathes, mills and other machining equipment for production duties in our custom metal fabrication facility. Established in 1988, Flextech Industries Inc. specializes in the manufacturing of flexible metal hose, piping and ducting products, designed to handle thermal expansion, vibration and other movement. In addition, Flextech manufactures metal bellows and expansion joint products, and continues to expand markets for dampers and flow control components. Our customers are located all over the world, in varied industries, including: chemical and petrochemical, power generation, pulp and paper, steel, transportation, HVAC and marine. *Responsibilities* * Operate manual lathes and milling machines to machine components. * Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. * Measure and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy * Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards. * Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process. * Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and safety practices. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. *Experience* * Previous experience as a Manual Machinist is required. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. * Proficiency with manual lathes, mills, and precision measuring tools. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. * Knowledge of safety procedures in a machine shop environment. _Work Conditions_ Flextech Industries is a fast growing, privately owned and operated company, built on a family orientated culture.
